I'm finally blogging again! Let's see, Where should I start? How about with a bible quote. "When we believers lose the motivation of love, we become critical of others. We stop looking for the good in them and see their faults. Soon we lose our unity. Have you talked behind someone's back? Have you focused on others' shortcomings instead of their strengths? Remind yourself of Jesus' command to love others as you love yourself" (Galatians 5:14,15). I find it quite silly how on Thanksgiving we share the spirit of love and joy and 3 hours later we are pushing each other for a new pair of shoes in the store. The truth is, we go through life so quickly, and most of the time what we have and are blessed with is taken advantage of. A couple months ago one of my best friends who had just become a Freshman, died in a devastating car crash. It hits me every now and then that he is gone and I'll never be able to see him again. That boy, my best friend, made a difference in both his community and school just with his everyday loving personality. It's funny how you notice people and the living more when they're gone. And sometimes I feel as if when we judge others we are only judging ourselves. It's almost if you were given a mirror but you see someone else, when what really matters is how you love others. You know that saying, "Only God can judge you" well he does, every day of your life. Every thing you do is taken accounted for in a big book, or at least that's what I've read in a book about a man who travels to heaven. Sometimes we don't make the best decisions and in return God still provides everlasting love. I know that the easiest thing to do might be to judge someone else, but why not instead try to fix yourself? Absolutely no one is perfect, and I struggle with this all the time. I always look at others before I look at myself but I know that once you solve one flaw in your life, the rest is down hill from there. Being a Christian isn't easy, but having faith will always be difficult. We doubt God when he is true to his word. I encourage you this week to love others unconditionally and remind them that you are there for them when they're in need. Remember God made you special, and he loves you very much! Have a great night y'all.
